Abies balsamea
Taste: Sweet, strong, aromatic, fresh, “taste like Christmas”
Origin: Turtle Island (North America)
Actions and properties: stimulating, relaxing, antiscorbutic.

Traditionally used for:
- Sore throat
- Chest and nose congestion
- Scurvy- Balsam fir contains 4 times the amount of vitamin c than an orange by weight.
Brewing instructions:
- 1 tsp of herb per cup of water
- Boiling water (200-212f/93-100C)
- Steep for 5-15 minutes
Contraindications/cautions: Avoid if pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not consume if you are allergic to some conifers. Consume in moderation and not for extended periods of time.
Always consult a healthcare practitioner when consuming any new herb. Like all herb it is best to start with a little to make sure you are not intolerant.
