Brewing instructions:
Chaga is best prepared as a decoction:
- 15-30g of chaga to 4-8 cups of water
- Bring water to boil, add chaga, reduce to medium heat
- Simmer for 20 minutes (min.) to 4 hours (max.)
To make a herbal tea with chaga:
- 3-5g of chaga per cup of water
- Boiling water (200-212f/93-100C)
- Steep for 5-15 minutes
Contraindications/cautions: Avoid if pregnant or breastfeeding. Chaga is high in oxalates, which can increase the risk of kidney stones. Chaga may interact with blood sugar and diabetes medication.
Always consult a healthcare practitioner when consuming any new herb. Like all herb it is best to start with a little to make sure you are not intolerant.

Note: All of our chaga comes in nugget (chunks) form. We harvest our chaga sustainably, by always leaving a third of the chaga on the tree and not over harvesting an area.
