Silver Mint

Mentha longifolia "silver"

Taste: A variety of mint with similar taste to spearmint, with notes of metallic and citrus.

Energetics: Primarily warming, cooling

Origin: Europe

Silver mint is a cultivated plant and is not commonly used in herbal medicine.

Brewing instructions:

• 1 tsp of herb per cup of water
• Boiling water (200-212f/93-100C)
• Steep for 5-10 minutes

Contraindications/cautions: Avoid if pregnant or breastfeeding.

Other uses: Beautiful garden ornamental that attracts pollinators. Edible can be added into sauces, salads, chutneys, potatoes and lamb dishes.
